Barry Keoghan Hints at Sabrina Carpenter Relationship Status Amid Split Rumors

Barry Keoghan is still talking nonsense for Sabrina Carpenter.
The Saltburn actor recently hyped up the Short N’ Sweet artist over Instagram amid rumors that the couple had broken up.
After Bratz debuted new dolls based on Sabrina’s new “Taste” music video, in which she stars alongside Jenna Ortega, Barry gushed in a comment on the Aug. 27 Instagram post, “Can I have one?”
And while Barry, 31, continues to only have eyes for Sabrina (indeed, he follows only the “Espresso” singer on Instagram), many fans wondered if he might not be in the 25-year-old’s good graces anymore.
Late last month, Sabrina fueled the rumors after posting a cryptic TikTok featuring her song “Please Please Please,” which saw Barry starring in its music video. As the Disney alum blew a kiss to the camera, she penned in overlaying text, “Me saying goodbye to him bc I wasn’t his #1 streamed artist.”
However, Sabrina’s TikTok is full of her twisted humor, and when asked more directly on the topic of Barry, the “Nonsense” singer had no problem expressing their really good camaraderie—and the fact that Barry loves her music.
“Barry’s a Libra, and so is my sister,” she gushed to Variety in an interview published earlier this month, before noting of his participation in the “Please Please Please” music video, “He’s obsessed with the lyrics, and I’m so grateful for that. I don’t want to sound biased, but I think he’s one of the best actors of this generation.”
As she put it, “Getting to see him on the screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and all the more special.”
What’s more, Sabrina’s Short N’ Sweet album may also feature some nods to her romance with Barry—specifically the song “bed chem.” After all, eagle-eyed fans pointed out that a few of the song’s lyrics detail the outfits the actor and singer wore to the Givenchy’s Spring-Summer 2024 last September, where they first publicly crossed paths.
“I was in a sheer dress / The day that we met,” Sabrina sings, and later adds, “Who’s the cute boy in the white jacket and the thick accent?”
Whatever the status of their relationship, Barry undoubtedly looks cute wrapped around Sabrina’s finger. Keep scrollin’ and you’ll be feeling out of breath over this romance.
The pair went public with their relationship when they were photographed together on a date night in Los Angeles.
Barry made their relationship Instagram official by commenting on a video Sabrina shared of herself performing a duet with Taylor Swift onstage during her concert in Sydney, Australia. She had opened for the Grammy winner for weeks but was unable to perform her regular set before the show that day due to bad weather.
The actor would later go on to meet up with Sabrina during the tour.
The pair attended Vanity Fair's 2024 Oscars after-party together but did not walk the red carpet together.
They made their romance red carpet official two months later, at the 2024 Met Gala.
The singer celebrates her 25th birthday with Barry, friends and a Leonardo DiCaprio meme.
If their relationship wasn't official enough already, Sabrina and Barry hard-launched through the singer's music video for "Please, Please, Please" in June 2024. Later, the Disney Channel alum detailed what the moment meant for her.
"I don’t want to sound biased, but I think he’s one of the best actors of this generation," she gushed to Variety in August 2024. "So getting to see him on the screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and all the more special.”
