It seems like there isn't anything Hayley Kiyoko can't do. As if having singer, songwriter, director, actress, and author on her resume wasn't enough, she now has one more addition: swimsuit designer. The multi-hyphenate collaborated with swimwear brand Kitty & Vibe to create a colorful line of size-inclusive swimsuits launching June 11.
Hayley's collection is about more than just cute bikinis, it's about fostering confidence through fashion. Kitty & Vibe's swimsuits are available in sizes XS to 6X, but what sets them apart is that they're also the first swimwear brand to create two sizing options based on your butt size, which means you'll never have too much or too little fabric. And it's one of the many reasons Hayley knew this collaboration was a must-do.
"I don't really have much of a butt and so every time I wear swimwear, it's just never fitting right," the singer-song writer admits. "And so when I came across that Kitty and Vibe were the first to be able to include all shapes and sizes it was very exciting for me to want to collaborate with them and finally have a bikini that fits my cute little butt."
It's a win for booties of all shapes and sizes. Like Hayley herself, the 20-piece collection has a nostalgic feel boasting technicolor retro designs that just scream summer. "Also it was very important to design a piece that worked well for Pride." As a member of the LGBTQ+ herself, Hayley is a huge advocate for the community. "I'm so excited to celebrate with my community this year," she gushes.
So what does Pride mean to Hayley? "Pride is an ever evolving journey of self-love and self-discovery and it's a relationship that should be constantly nurtured and protected but also celebrated," she told E!. It's also about self-love, and while that's no easy journey, Hayley has some tips.
"It's not an overnight thing but little things like listening to music or watching a film or putting on your favorite swimwear can help you get to where you need to be," she said. "I also think all body types should be celebrated and for Kitty and Vibe, they're really brining a wonderful mission into the bikini swimwear space." And it shows.
"All the models just felt so good about themselves and I think all of us are in this industry, one would hope, to just make the world a better place and also for other people to just feel good about themselves." Let's just say, we think it's nearly impossible not to feel good about yourself when you slip on one of the Hayley's swimsuits, especially this Pride Month.
