"Real Housewives of Orange County" star Heather Dubrow may hold an orange and not a medical license, but her husband, renowned plastic surgeon Terry Dubrow, is feeling grateful for her medical expertise.
Terry, who performs corrective plastic surgery on E! network's "Botched" and appears on Bravo's "RHOC," experienced a transient ischemic attack (TIA), E! News and TMZ report. The incident happened Thursday, while Terry, Heather and their son teenage Nicholas dined in Beverly Hills.
The Mayo Clinic describes TIA as "a temporary period of symptoms similar to those of a stroke. A TIA usually lasts only a few minutes and doesn't cause permanent damage." The site says a TIA could indicate future health problems. "About 1 in 3 people who has a TIA will eventually have a stroke, with about half occurring within a year after the TIA."
According to E!, Terry experienced slurred speech, and his son dialed 911. Though paramedics reportedly thought Terry was fine, doctors at a hospital diagnosed the TIA. They attributed it to a blood clot that reached Terry's brain through via a hole in his heart, per the outlet. The same thing happened to Hailey Bieber in March 2022.

When news broke of Terry's ordeal Wednesday, Terry took to Instagram to share a sage piece of advice. "Listen to your partner," he wrote on the social media site. "What you perceive may be different than what they are observing. Seconds may mean the difference between life and death. I love you @heatherdubrow."
Heather also pledged her love for her husband of 24 years.
"I love this man with my whole heart," she captioned a photo of the pair and screenshot of E!'s news story. "I’m beyond grateful that Terry’s ok, this could have gone very differently.
"If you see someone having stroke like symptoms- get them to the Hospital. You have 5 hours to get them treatment," she added before expressing her appreciation for those at Hoag Hospital of Orange County. "Thank you for your kind messages, Terry and I are overwhelmed by your love and support."
