Post Malone teases country collaboration with Morgan Wallen: 'Let's go with the real mix'

Post Malone is getting his yeehaw groove on with the help of a friend.
The Grammy-nominated singer and rapper previewed an upcoming collaboration with country singer Morgan Wallen in a video posted to Instagram Wednesday.
In the clip, Malone is seated with a cellphone in his hand as a snippet of the song plays. The “I Like You (A Happier Song)” emcee then takes a sip of a beverage as the song’s emotional opening lines are sung. “It takes two to break a heart in two,” Wallen sings, before Malone adds, “Baby you blame me, and baby I’ll blame you."

Malone continues to jam out to the country-rock tune in the video, as the singers’ gritty tones intertwine on the song’s up-tempo chorus: “I had some help, it ain’t like I can make this kind of mess all by myself / Don’t act like you ain’t help me pull that bottle off the shelf,” Malone and Wallen sing. “If you couldn’t tell, they say teamwork makes the dream work / Hell I had some help.”
A release date and title for the song have not been announced.

Wallen shared Malone’s enthusiasm for the unreleased song in the Instagram comments.
“I had some help getting to the point of posting it at 4 am,” Wallen wrote. “This song is one of my (favorites) in a long time. Proud to be on it (with you) bub!!”
This isn’t the first time Malone and Wallen have shown love to each other. In November, the two appeared together on the red carpet at the 57th annual Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, Tennessee.
Malone, wearing a cowboy hat, made an animated face for the camera, while Wallen threw up a playful peace sign. Malone later joined Wallen and HARDY on the CMA Awards tribute to country legend Joe Diffie, performing Diffie's hit "Pickup Man."

Malone’s latest album, “Austin,” was released in July 2023 and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album earned the singer a pair of top 5 hits on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, “Overdrive” and “Enough is Enough.”
Wallen’s 2023 album “One Thing at a Time” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and spawned the Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Last Night.”
